Digital hygiene: how to protect yourself and your data on the Easyfind portal?
The internet should be useful and safe. We at Easyfind care about your safety, but you also have an important role to play. Here are some simple but effective steps you can take to protect yourself 👇
1. Account security
-
Use complex and unique passwords – not “123456” or “password”.
-
Do not share your username and password with anyone—even if they “seem trustworthy”.
-
If possible, use two-factor authentication (we are currently developing this feature).
-
Log in only on the official website easyfind.ee.
2. Protection of payment information
-
All payments on Easyfind are processed through the secure payment system Montonio.
-
Never send your bank card details via email or messaging apps.
-
If in doubt, contact our customer support. It is always better to ask than to regret it later.
3. Malicious messages and scams
-
Our emails come only from addresses ending in @easyfind.ee.
-
If someone asks you to “verify your account” or “update your card information” via a suspicious link—it is a scam.
-
Suspicious messages from “customers”:
– strange links;
– requests to send photos of documents or card details;
– pressure and threats: “hurry!”, “otherwise we’ll delete it”, “we are administrators”.
💡 Tip: take a screenshot and notify us at info@easyfind.ee.
4. Safe communication
-
Do not share your full address, bank details, or identity documents in messages.
-
If you have doubts about the person you are talking to – do not rush to move the conversation to external channels.
-
Use the portal's internal messaging system whenever possible – it is safer.
5. What to include in an ad and what not to include
-
You can safely share the following in an ad:
✔️ your first name, service/product, area, phone number,
✔️ company name, registered address, website -
Avoid sharing:
❌ full home address
❌ personal document details
❌ full payment details
Digital hygiene is an ongoing process. Stay alert, use common sense, and don’t be afraid to ask questions if something seems suspicious. Remember—your online safety is in your own hands. By following these simple recommendations, you can significantly reduce risks and make using a classifieds portal safer and more effective.
