Night drift at Raassilla: season finale with a light and fire show

Night drift at Raassilla: season finale with a light and fire show

18.–19. September 2026 brings the Estonian drifting season to a spectacular finale at Raassilla Rallycross Track. The two-day Drifti Superfinaalid 2026 – Night Race has its most special moment on Saturday at 19.00, when the TOP24 night super final starts on a track plunged into darkness.

This is not just another round of drifting. For the first time, a completely new drift track layout will be used for competitions at Raassilla; the track will have a special lighting setup for the evening super final, and the entire race evening will conclude with Inu Tulesticu tule- ja valgusshow.

What makes Raassilla Night Race special?

For spectators, a large part of the drifting experience is already about speed, tyre smoke, engine noise and tandem runs. The Raassilla super final adds another element: the competition continues after dark.

On Saturday evening, the eight best drivers in the Street, PRO2 and PRO classes will take to the track for the super final. That means a total of 24 competitors, or TOP24, who will determine the best in the super final in the season’s last head-to-head.

The track will be illuminated using a special setup, which is why Night Race looks quite different from a regular daytime drift competition. Tyre smoke, car lights, track lighting and darkness create a format not usually seen during the Estonian drifting season.

A completely new track layout at Raassilla

The competition track itself is also new this time. According to the organizer, the superfinal will take place on 2026. aasta uuel Raassilla drifti rajalayout’il, mida ei ole varem võistlustel kasutatud.

This means that the exact nature of the competition cannot be predicted based on the driving lines seen at previous Raassilla rounds. The new configuration gives drivers new braking points, trajectories and transitions, and makes the competition more interesting even for those who have already attended Estonian drifting rounds.

Two days of drifting competitions

Friday is mainly a day for practice and qualifying. Tandem runs begin on Saturday, and the evening moves step by step towards the Night Race super final.

Time Programme
18 September Street, PRO2 and PRO practice and qualifying
19 September 09.15 Street tandem runs
19 September 12.45 PRO2 tandem runs
19 September 16.30 PRO tandem runs
19 September 19.00 NIGHT RACE SUPERFINAL TOP24
~21.15 Awards ceremony

The organiser may update the schedule, so it is worth checking the Estonian Drifting Association’s latest official information before travelling.

Street, PRO2 and PRO will take to the track

Drivers from Estonia will compete in the Street, PRO2 and PRO classes. According to the organiser, the Street class will also include competitors from Latvia.

While qualifying is primarily about achieving the best possible individual result, Saturday’s tandem runs bring cars onto the track in pairs. Tandem drifting is often the most intense part of the competition for spectators, as two drivers follow the same trajectory with very little distance between them.

The evening does not end after the last drift run

After the night super final, the programme continues with a show. The race evening concludes with Inu Tulesticu tule- ja valgusshow.

So it’s worth allowing for a full day on Saturday, or coming specifically for the evening program. If your goal is to experience the atmosphere of Night Race in particular, the 19. septembri õhtu is the most important part of the whole weekend.

Tickets and prices

According to the information published by Piletilevi, a Friday day ticket costs 10 eurot and a Saturday day ticket costs 25 eurot. Admission is free for children up to and including age 12.

There is currently a small price difference between the official channels for a two-day ticket: Piletilevi lists the advance-sale price as 29 eurot, while the Eesti Drifti Liit event page lists the competition pass price as 30 eurot. Piletilevi may also charge service fees, so it’s worth checking the final price shown at checkout when purchasing.

Is it worth going?

If a regular motorsport event isn’t enough, the Raassilla superfinal is one of September’s most exciting motorsport events in Estonia. It brings together the season’s decisive races, a new track, tandem drifting, the nighttime TOP24 superfinal, and a fireworks and light show to close the evening.

And even if you don’t usually attend drifting competitions, the nighttime format makes this event a much more visual experience than a regular round.
