Title. What should it be like in the listing?
When someone opens the portal, the headline is the first thing they see. It creates the first impression and indicates whether it is worth looking further.
What should the headline of a product or service listing be like?
✅ Concise
The shorter the headline, the faster it reaches the reader. Recommended length — up to 4–6 words.
Examples:
- “Cakes made to order in Tallinn”
- “Fast apartment cleaning”
- “Beautician in Lasnamäe”
✅ Specific
Avoid generic text. Clarity is paramount: what you offer, to whom, where, or under what conditions.
Examples:
- “Manicure with gel polish – 25 €”
- “Plumber in Pärnu. Same-day call-out”
- “Phone repair – Apple and Samsung”
✅ Eye-catching
Add something that sets it apart – a discount, timing, rarity, or relevance.
Examples:
- “April only –20%”
- “Free measurement. Made-to-order blinds”
- “New flower bouquets every week”
✅ Without excessive boasting
Expressions such as “the best”, “unique”, and “high-quality” do not say much unless they are backed up by substance. Simple and honest is better.
❌ “The best cakes in the world”
✅ “Homemade cakes to order – without margarine”
💬 A small suggestion:
When writing a headline, ask yourself – can a person immediately understand what is being offered? If yes, then you're on the right track.
