Rally Estonia 2026: Estonia's largest rally event, which is worth seeing with your own eyes at least once
Rally Estonia 2026 – when speed becomes part of the Estonian summer
In July, Lõuna-Eesti once again becomes a place that attracts more than just true rally fans. WRC Delfi Rally Estonia 2026 takes place 16.–19. juulil 2026 in Tartu and on roads around Tartu, Otepää, Elva, Kanepi, Kambja, Kastre, Nõo, Peipsiääre, and Mustvee.
It is the ninth round of the 2026 FIA World Rally Championship season. This means that Rally Estonia is not merely a local motorsport competition, but a top-level WRC round of international significance.
Rally Estonia is no longer just for those who know every driver by name or can distinguish Rally1 and Rally2 cars by their engine sound. Today, it is a major summer event combining high-speed rallying, Lõuna-Eesti gravel roads, the service park, the EXPO area, concerts, fan zones, family activities, catering, and a unique atmosphere.
The main rally centre will once again be located next to Eesti Rahva Muuseum in Tartu, where the competition headquarters, service park, EXPO area and team work areas will be situated.
The ceremonial opening and starting podium will take place in Tartu Raekoja plats. The finish ceremony is scheduled to take place after the Power Stage in the Kääriku spordikeskus area.
Why isn't Rally Estonia 2026 only for motorsport fans?
Rally Estonia has one major advantage: even someone who does not regularly follow the World Rally Championship can quickly understand why this event attracts so much attention.
Rally cars race at high speed along narrow gravel roads, take corners in controlled slides, jump over ramps and disappear into a cloud of dust within seconds.
All this takes place not in an enclosed stadium, but in the real Estonian landscape – amid forests, fields, villages and the hilly roads of South Estonia.
The 2026 rally has another special significance. According to the organisers, this may be the last opportunity to see the current generation of Rally1 cars in Estonia, as WRC technical regulations are expected to change from 2027.
53 crews from 23 countries registered for the Rally Estonia 2026 entry list. They include 11 Rally1 cars and 28 Rally2 cars.
This makes this year's rally even more special than a regular WRC round—for spectators, photographers, families, tourists, and local businesses alike.

Rally Estonia 2026 programme by day
16 July, Thursday: opening, autographs and rally show in central Tartu
The first day of the rally resembles a major city event more than a typical day of competition.
At 12.00, the service park and EXPO area will open next to Eesti Rahva Muuseum. At 16.30, there will be an autograph session with top WRC drivers.
In the evening, the action moves to Tartu Raekoja plats. The programme includes the presentation of the crews, a WRC group photo, the official opening ceremony, and performances by NOËP and An-Marlen.
This will be followed by the starting podium, and a Rally1 car demonstration run can be seen on Vabaduse puiestee in central Tartu.
Thursday's great advantage is its easy accessibility. According to the organisers, the events taking place at Raekoja plats and in central Tartu are free for spectators.
This is a good option for those who want to experience the WRC atmosphere but are not yet planning to visit the special stages.

17 July, Friday: first special stages and 5MIINUST concert
On Friday, the competition really gets underway on the roads of Lõuna-Eesti.
In the morning, the Kastre test stage, or shakedown, takes place. This is followed by the Raanitsa, Karaski and Kanepi special stages.
The evening programme includes historic rally cars, the Red Bull Drift Show on the Elva stage, and the Elva city stage.
In the evening, the official concert “5MIINUST 10 aastat” takes place at Tartu laululava. Concert tickets must be purchased separately from rally tickets.
Friday is ideal for those who want to combine the rally experience with evening entertainment. During the day, you can watch the special stages, and in the evening, return to Tartu, visit the service park, or go to a concert.
18 July, Saturday: the busiest and most eventful day of the rally
Saturday will probably be the most intense day of the entire rally for spectators.
The programme includes special stages in Peipsiääre, Mustvee, Kambja, Otepää and Tartu vald.
The service park and EXPO area at Eesti Rahva Muuseum are open throughout the day. The programme also includes service breaks, meetings with the day's three fastest crews, and various activities in the Luunja area.
For spectators, this means plenty of choices, but also the need to plan the day carefully.
It is not advisable to visit every stage in a single day. For a better experience, choose one or two spectator areas, check parking options and road closure times, and allow enough time to get around.
A poorly planned rally day can mean long traffic jams, several extra kilometres on foot, and narrowly missing key moments of the competition.
19 July, Sunday: Power Stage and ceremonial finish
Sunday's programme is shorter, but emotionally it may be the most powerful day of the entire rally.
The programme includes two Kääriku special stages, including Wolf Power Stage Kääriku 2.
After the decisive Power Stage, the finish and awards ceremony takes place at Kääriku spordikeskus.
The Power Stage is a good choice for those who want to see the climax of the rally. However, bear in mind that large crowds of spectators usually gather around the final stages.
It is therefore advisable to arrive as early as possible and check the parking and access information in advance.
Service park and EXPO: why is it worth going there even without a special stage ticket?
One of the most accessible parts of Rally Estonia is the service park located near Eesti Rahva Muuseum.
In 2026, admission to the service park and EXPO area is free for visitors. The area is open from Thursday until Saturday evening.
At the service park, visitors can see the teams' work areas and rally cars being serviced. There are also autograph sessions, meetings with drivers, merchandise sales and various activities.
There are food services, exhibitors, and a large screen on site where you can watch broadcasts of the special stages.
The service park is an especially good choice for families with children. Not every child can manage spending a long day beside the track, tolerate loud noise, or wait a long time for the next car to arrive.
At the service park, you can explore the world of rallying in a calmer and more comfortable environment: see the cars, visit the EXPO area, eat, take part in activities, and get a close-up look at how WRC teams work.
Who is Rally Estonia 2026 suitable for?
For motorsport fans
Rally Estonia is certainly one of those events that a true rally enthusiast will not want to miss.
Fast gravel roads, the world's top drivers, and the opportunity to see Rally1 cars with your own eyes make it one of Estonia's most important motorsport events of the year.
For families with children
The rally is also suitable as a family event, but the day should be planned sensibly.
When visiting with children, it is best to choose the service park, EXPO area, the programme in central Tartu or one easily accessible spectator area.
Trying to cover as many special stages as possible in one day can quickly become exhausting when travelling with children.
For travelers in Estonia
Rally Estonia can be combined with a weekend in Tartu, Otepää, Elva, Peipsiääre or Kääriku.
Southern Estonia is worth visiting in summer even without the rally. However, the competition offers a good reason to combine sport, nature, local food and the region's attractions into one trip.
How should you prepare for a visit to Rally Estonia?
The biggest mistake is to treat a rally like an ordinary concert or festival where you can simply arrive shortly before it starts.
During a WRC round, roads are closed before the competition cars arrive. Spectator areas have designated access roads, and car parks may be located quite far from the viewing point.
Sometimes even a 10–15-minute delay can mean that the necessary road has already been closed and the selected area is no longer accessible.
1. Choose a suitable day
Thursday is best suited for a first introduction and enjoying the Tartu city programme.
Friday and Saturday offer the most complete rally experience.
Sunday is suitable for those who want to see the Power Stage and the competition finale.
2. Check the official programme
The organisers may change the programme, special-stage times and traffic arrangements.
Therefore, before setting off, check the latest information on the official Rally Estonia website.
3. Choose a spectator area based on amenities
The official website has a separate list of spectator areas for 2026.
The available facilities are listed for each area: toilets, catering, an LED screen, rally radio, sales points, camping, parking and other amenities.
When travelling with children or older people, it is advisable to choose an area based not only on the view but also on its accessibility.
4. Dress for the terrain, not the cityscape
Even in summer, the weather in Lõuna-Eesti can change quickly.
It is worth bringing comfortable shoes, a rain poncho, headwear, drinking water and sun protection.
Be prepared for dust, mud, wet grass, and longer walks. The best footwear here is not necessarily the most stylish, but the kind that allows you to move safely on uneven ground.
5. Do not rely solely on mobile internet
Due to the large crowds, mobile service may be slow or unstable in some areas.
Save the tickets, maps, car park location, and necessary instructions to your phone in advance.
A screenshot of the official programme or the required route can also be useful.
Where can you watch Rally Estonia 2026 online?
If attending in person is not possible, Rally Estonia can be followed via Rally.TV.
According to WRC information, all special stages are shown there live and on demand. Onboard camera footage, expert analysis, live results, and rally maps are also available.
However, online coverage does not fully replace the on-site experience.
You can see the competition well on a screen, but you cannot feel the noise and vibration of the cars, the smell of gravel, the crowd's reaction, or that moment when a rally car appears from around a bend at high speed.
Is Rally Estonia 2026 worth visiting?
Yes, especially if you want to experience an Estonian summer at a completely different pace.
Rally Estonia 2026 combines speed, dust, emotions, international top-level sport, and the summer atmosphere of Lõuna-Eesti.
For WRC fans, it is one of the most important events of the year. For families, it can be a special outing in July. The rally gives tourists a reason to discover Lõuna-Eesti. For local businesses, it offers an opportunity to reach people when they are actively looking for accommodation, catering, transport, goods, and services.
The most important thing is not to go to the rally unprepared.
Check the programme, choose a suitable day and spectator area, explore parking options, and book accommodation early.
If you represent a local company, accommodation provider, café, transport service, shop, family attraction, or offer a special deal during Rally Estonia, you can also add your information to the Easyfind.ee portal.
In Easyfind, you can add a service description, photos, a video, PDF files, company information, and quick contact buttons. A separate special offer can be used to highlight offers created for the rally weekend, so customers can find all the necessary information in one place.
