Adult birthday celebration in Tallinn: venues and activities for different budgets

An adult birthday in Tallinn does not have to mean just a conventional evening at a restaurant. In the capital, you can arrange a VR adventure, a cocktail workshop, an escape room, a go-kart race, a private sauna party or a special tasting dinner.

We have brought together various birthday venues and activities for both small and larger groups. The selection includes affordable ideas as well as options for celebrating an important anniversary.

Important: prices and conditions were checked on 5 September 2026. The final price may depend on the day of the week, time, group size and additional services. Before booking, always check the latest conditions on the service provider's website.

1. A picnic in Kadriorg, Pikakari or Stroomi Beach

If the birthday falls on a warm, dry day, a simple picnic may be the most enjoyable option. You can bring food from home or order it in advance, and also organise a quiz, photo scavenger hunt, board games or a walk.

Kadriorg is suitable for a calmer and more elegant gathering. Pikakari and Stroomi Beach are good choices if you want a sea view and a more relaxed atmosphere.

  • Suitable for: 4–20 people
  • Budget: approximately 5–20 € per person
  • Advantage: the money is spent mainly on food and drinks
  • Downside: the party depends on the weather, and the applicable rules must be followed in public spaces

This is one of the best options if you want to celebrate a birthday affordably but do not want to invite guests to your home.

2. VR birthday: free-roaming arena or classic VR games

A VR birthday is suitable for a group that wants to dive into a shared adventure instead of sitting around a table. In Tallinn, you can choose between a VR arena with plenty of freedom of movement and smaller individual VR games.

Another World VR Estonia – free-roaming VR arena

Another World VR Estonia differs from a conventional VR centre in that players do not stand in one place. Participants can move freely around the arena, see each other in the virtual world and play together as a team.

It is well suited for an adult birthday, a get-together with friends or a party with a larger group. The venue has air hockey, PlayStation, board games, a refrigerator, microwave, kettle, disposable tableware, coffee and water. This makes it possible to continue the birthday celebration at the same venue after the VR game.

There are two locations in Tallinn:

  • Mustamäe tee 50;
  • Red 1.
  • Suitable for: a smaller or larger group
  • Price: in the Easyfind listing from 20 €
  • Languagesed: Estonian, Russian and English
  • Advantage: a game with freedom of movement and the option to continue the party on site

View the Another World VR Estonia offer on Easyfind

PlayVR – for smaller groups

PlayVR is suitable if you are celebrating a birthday with a few friends or want to try different individual VR games. There is also a VR quest designed for a small team.

On weekdays, the price for an hour-long game starts at 15 euros per person. At weekends, an hour costs up to 25 euros. Packages for small groups start at approximately 40 euros on weekdays.

  • Suitable for: 3–4 people
  • Budget: approximately 15–25 € per person
  • Location: Liivalaia 40

If you want a complete birthday party with a separate area for spending time together, Another World is the better choice. PlayVR is better suited for a shorter VR experience, after which the evening continues elsewhere.

See PlayVR prices and packages.

3. Escape room at Getaway Zone

An escape room immediately gives the birthday party a shared activity and topic of conversation. At Getaway Zone’s Old Town rooms, you can choose, for example, a game with a KGB, Sherlock Holmes or supernatural storyline.

One game lasts approximately one hour and costs 60–105 euros, depending on the number of participants. A room can usually accommodate 2–7 players. A party room for up to 50 guests can also be rented on-site.

  • Suitable for: 2–7 people per room
  • Budget: approximately 13–30 € per person
  • Location: Tallinn Old Town

A larger group can be divided into several teams, but the simultaneous availability of the rooms must be confirmed before booking.

See Getaway Zone games.

4. Bowling and billiards at Kuulsaal

Bowling may be a classic choice, but it works well because there is time to chat, eat and enjoy drinks alongside playing. For a more competitive group, you can add a small prize for the best player or the least successful throw.

In addition to bowling, you can play billiards at the bowling alley and order food and drinks on-site.

  • Suitable for: 4–12 people
  • Budget: depends on the day of the week, time, and number of lanes
  • A good choice if: the guests vary in age and interests

For weekend evenings, it is worth booking the lanes several weeks in advance.

View Kuulsaal's options.

5. Birthday at Elamus Spa

If the birthday celebrant and guests prefer relaxation to competition, the party can be held at Elamus Spa. The adults-only Spa21+ area is particularly suitable for a more relaxed birthday celebration.

The price for an adult birthday group starts from 21 euros per person on weekday mornings, is 27 euros per person on weekday afternoons, and 32 euros per person on weekends. The birthday celebrant receives free spa admission if the conditions are met.

In addition, the Troopikaaed private room, which can accommodate up to 15 people, can be rented.

  • Suitable for: groups of at least 10 people
  • Budget: 21–32 € per person
  • Plus: the activity is also suitable for groups that do not want a sporty or noisy party

See the Elamus Spa birthday package.

6. Public seaside sauna at Iglupark

If you do not need to reserve the entire sauna for yourself, you can hold a small birthday celebration in Iglupark's communal sauna. The sauna in Noblessner offers a sea view and the opportunity to cool off directly in the sea.

The standard price for a public sauna session is 24 euros per person. A birthday meal can be arranged before or after the sauna at one of Noblessner's restaurants.

  • Suitable for: a small and quiet group
  • Budget: 24 € per person, plus food and drinks
  • Location: Lennusadam 7

This is not a private party, but it can be a good option for celebrating with 3–6 friends. For a private sauna party, you must inquire separately about sauna availability and pricing.

How much does an adult birthday party cost in Tallinn?

A realistic total cost for a birthday party with ten guests could be as follows:

Party format Total budget for 10 people
A picnic or a homemade spread in a rented venue approximately 150–400 €
Escape room followed by a meal about 300–600 €
Spa visit with dinner approximately 500–900 €
Workshop with food and drinks about 500–1000 €
Private party room with food and drinks about 700–1500 €
Organized program or festive restaurant about 1000–2000 €
Tasting dinner about 1700–4000 €

The most commonly underestimated costs are not venue rental, but drinks, transport, cake, decorations, service, and additional hours.

What should you ask before booking a birthday party venue?

Before making an advance payment, the following should be confirmed in writing:

  • how many hours are included in the price;
  • whether preparation and clean-up time are included in the rental period;
  • kas hinnale lisandub käibemaks;
  • whether you may bring your own food, cake and alcohol;
  • whether a corkage, cleaning or service fee applies;
  • how long music may be played;
  • whether the room has a refrigerator, tableware, sound equipment and a projector;
  • what the cancellation and date change terms are;
  • whether there is a minimum or maximum number of guests;
  • whether the activity has any health, age or sobriety requirements.

Which birthday venue should you choose in the end?

A good birthday celebration does not depend solely on the appearance of the venue. The most important thing is to choose a format that suits the person celebrating and the guests.

For a small group, an escape room, chocolate workshop, VR game, or private dinner works well. If there are 10–20 guests, consider a free-roaming VR arena, cocktail class, go-kart race, or party room with its own bar. For a significant anniversary, the best choice may be a well-planned programme, private cinema screening, or tasting dinner.

The worst option is to rent a large hall just because it looks festive in photos. If the space is left half-empty and the guests have no shared activity, even expensive decorations will not save the evening. A smaller space, good food and one well-planned experience usually deliver a much better result.
